Understanding and being able to analyze rhetorical situations can help contribute to strong, audience-focused, and organized writing. The rhetorical situation is an analysis of the circumstances in which communication occurs. Pick one of the assigned readings this week and analyze the rhetorical situation, including how the writer, audience, purpose, and topic fit into the context of the piece, and how it fits into its larger cultural and historical context.
