Analyze positive and negative psychological impacts of laws

Assignment: Psychological Impact of Counterterrorism

The purpose of counterterrorism is to prevent terrorist attacks on the general populace (Joint Chiefs of Staff, 2009). In pursuing this aim, there should be potential positive psychological outcomes from counterterrorist measures, such as civilian anxiety being reduced. How have U.S. counterterrorism measures promoted these positive outcomes? What negative psychological effects are associated with specific counterterrorism measures?

For this Assignment, you will consider two agencies, laws, and/or regulations related to counterterrorism (different than the two used for you Discussion posting) and analyze their psychological impact on the general public.
