Analyze impact of personal attacks in political discourse

Assignment task:

So about 3 months ago at a late night committee hearing in congress, decorum went straight to Hell (see Robert's Rules of order in the modules). At the center of all of this is one, Marjorie Taylor Greene, representative from Georgia. She regularly breaks senate rules, fights with members of her own party and across the aisle, and goes on tangents.  Well, on May 16th Greene went viral for all of the wrong reasons after she insulted rep. Jasmine Crockett out of Texas. Greene thought it was a good job to engage in personalities (personal attacks) with rep Crockett by making fun of her eyelashes and rep. Alexandria Ocazio-Cortez's intelligence. After the Republican chair opted not to punish Greene for her comments Crockett asked a very specific hypothetical question about Greene's... well, I am not gonna repeat it but we will call it B6. Now Crockett is making money for the Democratic Party off of this viral attack.  Watch the videos below, read the articles, and answer the following questions.

Analyze the impact of personal attacks in political discourse: How do personal remarks, such as Marjorie Taylor Greene's comment about Congresswoman Crockett's eyelashes, affect the tone and productivity of political debates? Consider both short-term and long-term implications on legislative effectiveness and public perception.

Examine the role of social media in political accountability: How does the viral nature of Congresswoman Crockett's response to Greene's comment reflect the influence of social media on holding politicians accountable for their behavior? Discuss the benefits and drawbacks of this public scrutiny.

How do incidents like this involving personal attacks or insults affect the overall discourse and functioning of the political system?

To what extent do you think politicians bear a responsibility to maintain respectful communication and uphold decorum in their interactions with colleagues, regardless of political differences?

What strategies or actions could be implemented to promote a more civil and respectful political discourse, particularly in cases where personal attacks or unwarranted comments are made during public debates or discussions? Should there be a zero tolerance policy when someone goes against Robert's Rules of Order regardless of political party?
