Description:
Option : Textual/Semiotic analysis
Pick a media text. This can be a movie, television show, song, newspaper or magazine article, advertisement, or web site. Analyze for what you consider to be the underlying ideological meaning Of the text. You may want to do background research on your text (understanding both institutional considerations and audience/critical reception) to aid your analysis. You can (but do not have to) choose to focus on one of the areas we discussed in class (gender, race, or religion) as a way to focus your analysis or you could pick another representation on which to focus. As you will only be focusing on one text. I expect a detailed analysis of your text.
