There is an intense rivalry in the U.S. grocery industry as of late, especially, between Kroger and Albertsons... Grocers are always trying to find ways to differentiate themselves with more or less success. Analyze the difference in offers between the largest grocery chains in your hometown and that of Trader Joe's for example. How do they differ? What do these differences suggest are key tools being used to reduce intense rivalry and raise profitability?
