One of each component is required in the assembly operation. The trouble is that defective components can be assembled just as easily as good components, so inspection and sortation is required in operation 4. Determine:
(a) how many defect-free assemblies will be produced.
(b) how many assemblies will be made with one or more defective components, and
(c) will there be any leftover units of either component, and if so, how many?
