An important decision places Christmas holiday celebrators: To buy real or artificial trees? A market research firm reported that 62% of individuals polled preferred an artificial tree. We conduct independent serving of 1508 male and female respondents 18 years of age and older. We find that 905 of those surveyed preferred an artificial tree. Does our sample provide sufficient evidence to state that the proportion of individuals Preferring an artificial tree is different than that reported by the market research firm?
