The purpose of this 750-word advertisement analysis is this question, "How do words and pictures contained in a print-based (magazine only) advertisement function to persuade you to purchase a product (or service)?" As you prepare to answer this question, be sure to include:
- What is your advertisement's "angle of vision?"
- What type of persuasive appeal (logos, ethos or pathos) does it use?
- How do the words and pictures work together to persuade the reader to purchase the product?
Include the source of your advertisement and the reading audience for this magazine since the product should be consistent with its subscribers. For example, More magazine has an older female readership while Sports Illustrated includes male readers.
