My name is Raviane, and I am a mid-40s single mother who has made the courageous decision to go back to school and pursue a bachelor's degree. The year 2020 had a profound impact on my life, as it did for many others around the world. The global pandemic forced us into lockdowns and remote work, so I worked from home. During this time, I was given the unique opportunity to start a new department within my organization and actively participate in the virtual hiring process. During this period, I developed a deep interest in Human Resources.
Returning to school at this stage of my life may seem daunting to some, but I am determined to make the most out of this opportunity. This Solutions to Global Issues course particularly appeals to me because it aligns with my evolving interests in Human Resources. The course will equip me with the necessary knowledge and skills to address global challenges such as diversity and inclusion, sustainability, and social responsibility.
