This activity will involve working with the local health center department to address healthcare access to vulnerable populations. The goal will be to evaluate how current public health policies impact patient care such as Medicaid expansion or mental health funding. I will engage in policy advocacy with my mentor who is a public health director at a local community center. The curriculum development project could be for healthcare providers addressing a public health issue such as mental healthcare.
