Accounting Information Systems Assessment Part B: Business Process Presentation
Learning Outcomes
1. Analyse and articulate business processes and recognise the role of accounting information systems in enhancing business process design.
2. Communicate with IT professionals, stakeholders and user groups of information systems.
Context:
An important component of business process improvement is the ability of a team to convince and communicate to its stakeholders the importance of improving processes.
It is also important to critically reflect on the actions they have taken and identify actions that the team may wish to take in future experience.
Instructions:
The meaningful and useful review and comments provided in Module 3.2 (Week 6) on the work done by another group will be used by the group to reflect upon while preparing the Business Process Analysis presentation due end of Module 5.1 (Week 9). The presentation should discuss:
- the proposed business process and the impact in the organisation
- problem identification and solution generation process
- justification of the recommendation
- corrective actions that they need to undertake based on the results of the peer review
Each group will be given a maximum of 15 minutes to present their work.
