According to your text's discussion of the symbolic interactionist perspective on religion, "womens's versions of a certain religion probably differ markedly from men's versions." It goes on to discuss several examples of how this is/was manifested in past and present society.
Most of us are first exposed to religion in our family of origin. Others may not have had that experience and their knowledge/exposure of religion comes from other sources. Using your own experience and/or sources, think about the statement above. According to your own experiences, do you think the religious experiences differed according to whether you were male or female? State your opinion and make sure that you provide examples to support your point of view.
