And the Lord said to Abram, "Go forth from your land and your birthplace and your father's house to the Land that I will show you....And they set out on the way to the land of Canaan (Genesis 12) Looking it from a faith stand point, that must have taken a lot to just uproot your family and move to a land that the lord said he would promise your and your people. Abram was 75 years old when they left. Today, at that point in life most people wouldn't hardly move off the couch let alone move to an unknown land to start anew. It shows just how deep their religious beliefs are and how they will follow it no matter what.
