Final project- gifted leadership/training project instructions
For the final project, you will submit a PowerPoint presentation of at least 20, but no more than 30, slides (not including the title and reference slides) intended to inform the audience about best practices learned in this course that you wish to sharewith your school or school system. The presentation will be used to introduce, explain, and instruct others about appropriate educational strategies for gifted learners. This might start with proposing one of the models we studied and demonstrate how the strategies are used to support the model structure.
Another possibility might be to restructure honors courses based upon what you have learned to be best practices for creating these courses.
You might also create an honors course and propose it to the school system. Pretend you are trying to actually persuade the school system/school to adopt the best practice. Another proposal/training could be that you want to introduce co-teaching to support new teachers in teaching gifted learners.
All presentations must answer the following:
• Why do you consider this to be a good fit/idea for the school/school system?
• Is it affordable/a good investment?
• What instructional methods will be used?
• How does this incorporate character education?
Includea slide that lists at least 5 references in current APA format. Between the transcription/speaker's notes and the PowerPoint, there must be a total of at least 20 citations for ideas or direct quotes.
