Project Objective:
Customer requirement:
To begin with the customer requirements, the ability to afford a hybrid engine that could supply the electronics things like Sonar, Radar and Emergency system in a free-fall lifeboat.
Secondly, the requirement of more panels to hang on the free-fall lifeboat roof.
Furthermore, the life expectancy of a solar PV system.
Moreover, the hybrid engine has a limitation of voltage so to add a bigger engine that can supply more amount of energy.
Researcher response:
1- I can supply that with quantity of voltage that can handle the needs of the electricity by adding a light and small engine under the pilothouse also it will not cause any affection on the stability. Furthermore, it’s easy to carry and the coast of that engine is reasonable.
2- It will need a high amount of energy to cover the needs of the additional panel because of the limitation of voltage of the engine. Also, the lack of space of the free-fall lifeboat roof and the third panel will be in a less preform angle.
3-All PV systems and materials can endure a high performance of energy for approximately 25 years. As well with 7-years guarantee.
4-By adding a bigger engine with the diesel engine there will be a drawbacks such as it will need more storage space aboard a ship and will affect the stability of the free-fall lifeboat.
