A uniform beam of length L = 12.6 meters and mass of 128.9 kg is pinned at one end in a construction site and is being supported by a wire as shown. The wire is connected to the beam x = 3.7 meters from the pin. A man of mass 99.2 kg is standing all the way out on the edge of the beam.

1) If θ = 18 degrees and Φ = 76.3 degrees, what is the tension in the wire?

2) If the man gets off and a new guy of mass 109.2 kg gets on the beam, the tension of the string changes to 5678 N. Call to the right and up the positive directions.

A) Find the horizontal component of the force from the pin on the beam.

B) Find the vertical component of the force from the pin on the beam.
