Researchers might explore public attitude toward wolves in Croatia in a variety of ways. 3 Tell whether each of these possible designs features one categorical, one quantitative, one each categorical and quantitative, two categorical, or two quantitative variables:
a. Survey people as to whether they approve of setting poisons for wolves.
b. Survey a random sample of people and another random sample several years later, asking whether they approve of setting poisons for wolves, to determine if they are becoming more tolerant of wolves. c. Ask people how many times in the past year they have heard a wolf howling, and ask them to rank wolves in terms of their undesirability as pests compared to other animals such as bears, wild boars, insects, rodents, and foxes, to see if people tend to disapprove of wolves
more if they are more aware of their presence.
d. Survey people, asking them to rank wolves' undesirability on a scale of 1 to 10.
