Question: A study by the European School Survey Project on Alcohol and Other Drugs (ESPAD) found that 277 in a sample of 543 15- to 16-year-olds in the Faroe Islands had consumed five or more alcoholic beverages in a row at least once in the past month, compared to 1,207 in a sample of 8,940 15- to 16-year-olds in Poland. To best put the data in perspective, researchers should report proportions rather than counts.
