A string passing over a pulley has a 380-kg mass hanging

A string passing over a pulley has a 3.80-kg mass hanging fromone end and a 3.15-kg mass hanging from the other end. Thepulley is a uniform solid cylinder of radius 4.0cm and mass0.80-kg.

(a) If the bearings of the pulley were frictionless, what would be the acceleration of the two masses?

(b) In face, it is found that if the heavier mass is given adownward speed of 0.20m/s, it comes to rest in 6.2s. What is theaverage frictional torque acting on the pulley?
