A scholar- practitioner is a rare breed because most of the time the person is either very good at the application of their position or very good at conducting research. The combination of both requires twice the effort and twice the expertise. For most of you, I would consider you practitioners learning to become scholars in your field. I am confident all of you will reach this status, but it will require hard work and a lot of research and writing. In what ways do you measure scholarship in your classroom?
