Travel and Transportation
A random sample of Georgia drivers renewing their vehicle registration was obtained. Using motor vehicle records, the number of miles driven in the past year was recorded for each. The data (in thousands of miles) were classified by whether the driver had an organ donor card and are given in the following table.
Assume the underlying distributions are continuous. Is there any evidence to suggest that the median number of miles driven is different for people who carry an organ donor card and for those who do not? Use the Wilcoxon rank-sum test with a = 0.05.
