A pre-engineering base line was run down a very steep hill.rather than measure horizontaily down hill with steel tape: surveyor measured the vertical angle with the theodolite and slope distance with 16m steel tape. The vertical angle was 21 degree and 26 minutes turned to a point on a plumbed range pole 1.5m above ground. The slope distance from the theodolite to the point on the range pole was 45.3m. The theodolites optical center was 1.4 m above the upper base line station at 110+71.25
a) If the elevation of the upper station was 253m, what is the elevation of lower point
b) What is chainage of the lower station
