A piston-cylinder device contains carbon dioxide co2 molar

A piston-cylinder device contains carbon dioxide CO2 (molar mass = 46 g/mol) as shown in the figure. The cross-section area of the piston is 0.25 m2 and the initial cylinder height is 50 cm. CO2 is initially at 40 bar and 500 oC (state 1). CO2 is allowed to cool to the surroundings which are at 25 oC. During this cooling process the piston encounters stops when the cylinder height is 25 cm (state 2). CO2 continues to cool down to thermal equilibrium with the surroundings at 25 oC (state 3). CO2 may be assumed to behave as an ideal gas with constant specific heats. Determine:
