A parallel plate capacitor has a charge of 0.2 m C on one plate and A 0.2 m C on the other. Each plate is circular in shape with a radius of 0.3 m.
(a) Draw a diagram showing the capacitor and the electric field between the plates and on either side of the plates.
(b) Place a proton and an electron, at any location between the two plates, and draw the direction of the force on each. Neglect the force between the proton and the electron.
(c) Calculate the acceleration of the proton and the electron. Remember, the acceleration is a vector. You may choose any coordinate system and show the acceleration vectors in your diagram.
