A liquid has an equilibrium pressure of 130 torr at 25C and is placed into a 1L vessel. What is the pressure difference shown on the manometer, and what is the composition of the gas in the vessel, under each of the following conditions:

(a) 200mL of the liquid is introduced into the vessel and frozen at the bottom. The vessel is evacuated and sealed, and the liquid is allowed to warm to 25C

(b) 200ML of the liquid is added to the vessel at 25C under atmospheric pressure, and after a few minutes the vessel is closed off.

(c) A few mL of the liquid is introduced into the vessel at 25C while it has a pressure of 1 atm of air in it, without allowed any of the air to escape. After a few minutes, a few drops of liquid remain int he vessel.
