a develop and submit a power-based mc snr

a) Develop and submit a power-based MC "SNR" simulator (derived from the voltage-based SNR program provided in MS Powerpoint file) that:

i) Uses the following Input: Time period of interest (T in ms), Time interval (dt in ms), Average Noise level (No in W), (Expected Received) Signal of interest Level (Ps in W), Threshold Signal Level (Pt in W).

ii) Provides the following Output:

• Graphic: Average Noise (Power) Level, Average Received Power Level, Threshold Signal Level, by-millisecond noise level (N(t)), and by-millisecond Received Power Level (Pr(t)).

• Text: Threshold SNR (SNRt), Threshold SNR in DB (SNRtdb), the MC rate of missed detection (Pmdmc), the analytical missed detection rate (Pmda), the MC rate of false detections (Pfdmc), and the analytical probability of false detection (Pfda).

iii) Note: you will have to convert power to voltage (using Ro = 1 ohm), add the noise signal (in V) to the signal of interest (in V) and convert back to power.

b) Provide screen shot of the output obtained using the following input: T = 1000 ms, dt = 1 ms. No = 5 mW, Ps = 40 mW, Pt = 20 mW

c) What is the SNRt (as a ratio and in dB)?

d) What is the average SNRr (as a ratio and in dB)?

e) Is this a good detector? Explain your answer.

f) Assuming you were designing a radar that needed to detect an object with a radar cross section (RCS) of 10 m^2 at a range of 50 km, how would you use these results to determine the radar's design space?
