A decrease in height of 10 mm for the sample from one side

A soil sample is prepared in a hollow cylindrical mould of diameter 46 mm and height 100 mm having a weight of 245 gm. The soil mixture was prepared by mixing 42 gm of water with 300 gm of dry soil mass and was compacted in 5 layers in the cylindrical mould. The specific gravity of the soil solids was found out to be 2.65. The soil mixture filled up to the brim after compaction. Afterwards, a high pressure was applied to compact the sample from both sides.

A decrease in height of 10 mm for the sample from one side was observed. What is the void ratio of the sample before high pressure application? What is the degree of saturation for the sample before high pressure application?Given that after high pressure application, the weight of soil with mould is 560 gm.

What is the void ratio of the sample after high pressure application? What is the degree of saturation of the sample after high pressure application? If the void ratios before and after high pressure application correspond to the void ratio in densest and loosest state, then what is the relative density of the sample, given that the in situ relative compaction is 95% corresponding to the compaction after high pressure application ?
