A company you work for currently, Parts Are Us, sells auto parts. The company has chosen to open some stores in remote locations in countries in Latin America that may not have real robust network links. There are normally 15-20 people that work in each store, and they use the following applications: email, a file share that stores common documents, a local turn key application running on one server that provides all of the information about the parts and products sold in the store. This turn key application does not run on clusters. This application is updated once a month with any changes to its database. Each store will have three servers. These will be configured as an Active Directory/DNS server, a server for the turnkey application, and a file server. Choose the type of disks that you propose for each of these servers given the following information:
o A hardware RAID controllercannot be installed in the servers.
o Each server will use a 300 GB C: drive for Windows Server 2008.
o Each server can hold (1) disk drive for the os; and (3) additional disk drives for data.
o The servers come with 300 GB or 500 GB drives. The 300 GB drives have much better I/O performance than the 500 GB drives.
o File shares require 500 TB of storage and grow about 15 % per year.
o The application server requires 300 GB and it grows about 10 % per year.
o Email is consolidated and there are other AD/DNS servers reachable on the network.
o Server guidelines used at Parts are Us state that disk drives must always have 35 % free space on them and typically hardware is only replaced or upgraded after 3 years.
