A company was developing a new vitamin for those at risk from ailments associated with low calcium levels. In order to test the effectiveness of three new formulations a group of test subjects had their calcium levels tested before and after taking one of the three vitamins. The data are stored in vitamin .txt.
(a) Suggest a way to measure the effectiveness of treatment, and calculate this measure for each subject in the study.
(b) For each vitamin group construct a histogram for your measurement.
(c) Describe the shapes of the three histograms. Compare and contrast the three treatments.
(d) Suggest another way the scientists could have tested the vitamin for mulations, especially if the number of test subjects was limited.
