1. A 3-φ, 500 kVA, 7.2 kV line-to-line load is to be supplied from a 13.8 kV line-to-line network using a transformer bank of two 3-φ units in parallel. The nameplate of the first transformer states: 300 kVA, 13.8/7.2 kV, 0.07 per-unit impedance; and the second nameplate states: 200 kVA, 13.8/7.2 kV, 0.04 per-unit impedance. Can the two be used to supply the above load on a continuous basis? And why?
