Behavioral Project
5- Have your 3-5 year old grandson or niece pick out letter blocks. You randomly pick a letter, give her the prompt: Find H. (I don't know her level, this is just a general concept). Give her 3 points for finding it with no clue, 2 for finding it with one clue, 1 when she needs more clues. Do this for 10 minutes a few times a day. Every other time, also praise her a lot. Or give her treats. Up to you. Then every other, make it a little less exciting / rewarding. Each "trial" could be just five or ten letters or treats.
Paper must included
Background information - Why did you choose this project? Provide a case study regarding the participant
Problem - Be specific. Include a definition of observation of the behavior - must be a scientific definition that is measurable
Data Collection - Baseline behavior, experimental phase, etc..observe a target behavior for 1 week. Behavior should be recorded and later graphed.
Reliability Check - Another individual must observe and record the same behavior. In order reliability you must establish a ratio between the two observations.
Graph of Results - A line graph will provide a clear representation of the data. Provide a title for your graph and label your x and y axis. To display these results, use Microsoft Excel.
Conclusion - Summarize the results of your study. Although the experimental phase will not actually be implemented you still must provide a detailed plan of how you would conduct this behavior management project from beginning to the end. Include information pertaining to the type of reinforces and schedules of reinforcement that will be used.
