1) Review in our text Vroom and Yetton's (1973) list of decision-making styles.
2) The first part of your paper will be to analyze and discuss the decision-making style of a current or former "boss". Pick one or more categories from Vroom and Yetton's list and discuss how successful or unsuccessful this decision-making style was to work for under this boss.
3) The second part of your paper will involve some self-assessment. In this section, you are to discuss the category or categories that best describe your decision-making style. Be thorough and honest in your assessment. Speak to how you think your style is interpreted by the people you lead. Also, make sure you speak to the positives and negatives of your style.
4) The last part of your paper will be a "compare and contrast" of the first two parts of your paper. You should discuss how you are similar or how you differ from a current or former "boss" and how this may or may not affect or benefit your leadership capabilities.
5) Provide a solid summation/closing paragraph that brings this all together!
As mentioned earlier, this assignment is a bit different from our past assignments. Therefore, you are not required to have references for this assignment, other than our text. However, you will not be penalized if you do.
