1)      The structure shown below is loaded by a load, P, which is co-linear with member 3.  Find the components u₁^c, u₂^c of the displacement of the node C.  All members have the properties E, I, and A.  Ignore shear deformation.  Note the hinge at node C.

2) The originally 1000 mm x 1000 mm square plate undergoes deformation such that it is in a uniform, plane strain state.  The displacements at notes A, C and C are as shown in the figure.
