1. How is that some people in the corporate world seem to have more developed consciences than others? Explain this reality by naming individuals in the corporate world (you may even wish to include an URL) on different ends of the spectrum and showing the development of conscience.
2. What role does the institutional church, the Roman Catholic Church in this instance, play in the formation of conscience?
3. What does it mean to say that freedom of conscience is more a privilege to be earned than a right to be presumed?
4. Define the virtue of prudence. Why is it important to the moral life? What does Christianity offer to enhance an understaning of prudence?
5. (for a possible extra 25 points - you must write at least 250 words AND indicate word count at end of text). There are businesses that say or have been identified "with a conscience." Identify two of them that you believe truly "have a concience" and then demonstrate what would lead a person to believe what you suggest is true. What does it mean for a corporation or business to have a conscience? Then, do the same with two that you truly believe "do not have a conscience." You may want to start w/ those who have been in the WSJ lately accused of corruption.
