1.) Draw the schematic for a 2-input XOR circuit, using only AND, OR, and NOT gates. (Remember the Boolean formula for XOR, and implement this using AND, OR, and NOT gates.)
2.) Show how you would connect the physical pins on the chips to create the XOR circuit from #3 above. Don't forget Vcc and Ground for each chip. (Assume that debounced, active logic inputs are available at A and B.)
Only a few of the gates will be needed.
Q is the output; Q = A XOR B.
3. It is possible to build an XOR circuit using fewer gates, if NAND and/or NOR gates are also allowed. Draw the schematic for such a circuit, using only three gates (AND, OR, NAND, NOR, and/or NOT).
