Introduction to Data flow programming languages

A data flow  programming   languages  is a higher level  languages which  is translated  into a data flow graph and subsequently run on  a data flow  computer. A data  flow computer is a machine which executes  programs that are expressed in the data  flow  graph model. The data flow  model consists  of a graph  where  nodes  represent  operation  and the data  flows  along  the arcs.

Data flow programming languages is: VAL

Example 14. Consider the program  TEST of fig 6.10, written in VAL. In  the procedure TEST. Two  items a and b are parameters. First  the local  variables  r and s are initialized  to values b and 0 respectively.
