For an example, a general may decide that a tank new software system should allow soldiers to send and receive electronic mail even though the main purpose of the tank is to traverse uneven terrain. We should review the requirements to retain only those that work directly to solve customer problem.

6. Verification of Requirement:  we must be able to write test cases to demonstrate that the requirements have been met or not.

7. Traceability of Requirements; each system function should be traced to set of requirements that mandates it. It will be easy to find the set of requirements that deals with a specific aspect of the system. For example to review all communications requirements, all requirements would need to be read. We can use this checklist to search for each possible requirement improving and changing as we go.
