Identification of the fault in given TV receiver:

1. The TV receiver is switched ON firstly.

2. There is no picture just only horizontal line on the screen.

3. Switch OFF the receiver instantaneously and verify horizontal line fault on the TV receiver.

Check the stages of the TV receiver:

1. The TV receiver is switched ON firstly

3. Confirm the fault is in the vertical sweep section.

4. Touch the vertical preset along with a screw driver the horizontal line on the screen to be oscillated or expand, verify the fault is at vertical oscillator. Calculate the voltage at vertical oscillator stage if it is correct.

6. Test the vertical output stage and check the connection at vertical deflection yoke coil then the check the condenser, if it is short or open, remove the condenser and solder new one.

7. The TV receiver is switched ON firstly. The raster on the screen is normal.
