It contain three sections; detector, Input and filter. In input section IFT is employed and in detector, signal iode is employed. A resistor and filter capacitors are employed in filter section.

It is a diode detector. IF signal is provided to the diode. Diode acts as a rectifier. The diode conducts, throughout negative half cycle of the input IF signal. In positive half cycle, it don't. Half of IF signal is built in the output. After that this signal is fed to the filter network. This filters the RF signals and the complete audio signal is split. This audio signal voltage is generated beyond the load (Volume control). At last to audio amplifier the audio signal is applied. To AVC network the output signal is also applied.
