When a number of tissue harm occurs histamine and other vasoactive material (called intermediators of inflammation) are freed, they cause vasodilation and the blood flow to the affected site rises. Granulocyte leukocytes presented in the blood are pulled towards to the location of the injury due to substances acknowledged as chemotactic factors also released by the harmed tissue and by the dynamic granulocytes in the area. The granulocytes leave the Capillaries with diapedesis, that is, by using pseudopods. Macrophages presented in the region are triggered also. These cells overflow the extracellular gap of the affected region trying to destroy or remove harmful agents, to avoid tissue necrosis and to isolate the injured tissue.
