Since the crystalline lens is a convex spherical lens it forms inverted images on retina (every converging lens forms reversed images). The inverted information follows by the optical nerves till the occipital cerebral cortex which holds the visual area of brain. In brain the interpretation of image occurs and the inverted information is reverted.
