J.P. Morgan was a banker, art collector and financier of America. He was the leading industrialist and corporate during his time. He was wealthy and also powerful. This never occurred to Morgan to apologize for being a powerful man. He felt happy to hear “titan” phrased used for him. He was supremely arrogant in his open contempt for ordinary individuals. He liked to be feared, and hold in awe.
