What is Victim Compensation and Government Claims Board

Victim Compensation and Government Claims Board, California: It is an administrative body in state government exercising quasi-judicial powers (that is, power to make rules and regulations) to set up an orderly procedure by which the Legislature will be recommended of claims against the state whenever no provision has been made for the payment. This board was termed as the Board of Control previous to January 2001. The rules and regulations accepted by the previous Board of Control are in the California Code of Regulations.
