A switched-mode power supply (switching-mode power supply, SMPS, or simply switcher) is defined as an electronic power supply which includes the switching regulator to be highly efficient within the transformation of the electrical power. Just like other kinds of power supplies, an SMPS transmit the power from a source such as the electrical power grid to the load (For example, a personal computer) for transferring the voltage and current characteristics. An SMPS is generally employed efficiently to provide a controlled output voltage, normally at the level different from input voltage.
