Succession Planning: Identification and growth of potential successors for key positions in an organization, via a systematic evaluation procedure and training. Dissimilar replacement planning (that grades an individual only on the basis of his or her precedent performance) succession planning is mainly predictive in judging an individual for a position he or she may never have been in.
