RTC stand for the real-time clock, RTC is defined as an IC clock which is battery powered (from the CMOS battery) and situated on the computer motherboard. The RTC enables the computer to controls the timing and speed of all the computer functions.
For example, RTC keeps track of second, minute, hour, day, month, and year and also is responsible for making sure all the signals sent between devices are sent at the right intervals.
