Axons extend all through the body with in the nerves. Nerves are said to be the axon-containing structures presenting several axons and enclosed by the connective tissue. The nerves join the neural nuclei and ganglia along with the tissues. Nerves generally consists of either sensory axons i.e. sensory nerves, or motor axons i.e. motor neurons or both types of axons i.e. mixed nerves.
