RAM which are constructed by using the ECL technology generally have the highest speeds .The access time for the ECL RAM includes the order of 5-10ns.They consume the considerable amount of power and are not available in the large sizes ,so they are utilized in which the speed is the considered as the most significant consideration. ECL RAMs typically have the open-emitter outputs for facilitating expansion and wire-ORing. They have isolated pins for input and output data, characteristics which may be used to decrease the delays between the read and the write operations.
