Bile is concentrated and is stored in gallbladder. Whenever the fat rich foods are ingested within the gallbladder contracts in order to liberate the bile in the duodenum. This also describes the reason why patients having the gallstones must not take the fatty food; Reactive contraction of gallbladder can move some of stones to the blocking point duct which drains bile in the duodenum, resulting in pain and probable severe complications.
