Our body has a supporting frame-work build up of bones. This frame-work is termed as skeleton. It is the skeleton which provides the body its firmness. Without skeleton our body will be as agile as that of a worm. There is other great benefit of the skeleton. It protects a few of the most delicate portions of the human body form exterior injury. Therefore the brain is kept secure in a bony box. Such box safeguards the lungs and heart. As well by its very nature of formation, it aids body movement with the help of muscles joined to it. The major parts of the skeleton are the spinal column and the skull.
